Calverts is a communication design co-operative. We create and deliver visual identities, complete publications, individual pages and integrated campaigns using the right combination of media to reach any audience.

The Calverts design team is ideas-driven, attentive, expert and professional. Our clients are not buying a Calverts house style; they're tapping a flexible resource of fresh thinking, experience, creativity and project management know-how to deliver their print, digital or display communications on brand, on time and on budget.

In all our work we hope to create something that will be a catalyst for positive change.

From the start of a 'design for print' project, we consider the following criteria in order to promote environmental and social responsibility:

Format
Size matters. By reducing the physical size of a piece of print - from A4 to B5, for example - we can cut both the financial and the environmental costs of paper and print. Likewise with imposition - the way we plan pages on a larger printed sheet - which we can use creatively to maximise the overall printed space on a press sheet.
Materials
When designing for print we are committed to using recycled or certifiably sustainably sourced paper. We are FSC© certified and ISO 14001 registered.
Production
We will use renewable energy, specify vegetable oil based inks for (litho) printing and choose processes and materials which minimise the emission of carbon and volatile organic compounds.
Disposal
We are committed to improving resource efficiency and consider the life cycle of a printed piece to be an important part of the design brief. Our aim is to produce print materials which can be reused or recycled easily.
